Chad Wagner - Drums

Chad plays drums and performs backing vocals for Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'. Chad started playing drums at the very young age of 3. Growing up in a musical family full of musicians, it was a natural talent that came easily. He was playing drums in church by age 8 or 9. Finally able to join band classes in elementary school in 5th grade, Chad hoped to expand his learning & understanding of music in general, and basic rudiments.
Throughout his years in school, Chad participated in marching band, jazz band, orchestra, and pep & stage bands, where he has able to play a full drum set for school plays, and other school events, working on his chops. Like most teenagers, Chad formed several bands with friends, and had loads of fun doing it! High school was topped off by being the chosen band by the school to play on stage in front of all the students & faculty for "Senior Day". They played the senior song "Winners Take All" by Quiet Riot, as well as "Free Fallin" by Tom Petty, and "One" by Metallica. It was a pretty crazy day!
After school, Chad joined the US Air Force, where he joined the Drum & Bugle Corps through basic training. Chad was also playing drums for church services on base. During Chad's travels in the USAF he had the great fortune of playing a set with Canadian sensation, Loverboy. He also sat in for a few songs with April Wine.
Later in life after the military, Chad's band opened for Shinedown at the Nebraska State Fair, and headlined the beer garden there for 2 years. Chad took some time off in order to help raise a family and focus on career goals, but was never too far from music. Still practicing at home and with friends, Chad continued personal growth with his instrument. Chad has now joined forces with Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin', and fulfilled a life-long dream of being in a Journey Tribute Band!
